Raj Patel took the title of his new book from an Oscar Wilde quote:
"Nowadays, people know the price of everything and the value of nothing."
Wilde said that in 1891. Funny how while everything changes, somehow nothing changes...

I haven't had the opportunity to read this yet (the local library doesn't yet have a copy, and I've been spending way too much money on books lately to buy a copy right now), but all the reviews I've heard and read have been positive.

Great selection of relevant author/speaker. I've heard Patel on the Thom Hartmann show (very progressive talk show and worth checking out)and on booktv. There's a great wave of awareness rising with all the devastation -- we have to change our perspective on what's important. I look for ways to practice this new view and find people and places reflecting the culture of relationship.
